Present your proposal at the next meeting, or share it on the #skillshare-and-community-education channel with a poll to reach group consensus on moving your proposal forward.
Fill roles to successfully plan and coordinate the event. As the primary proposer, you will by default have responsibility for making sure relevant roles are filled so that planning can begin. As always, if you need support, please ask for it and other SWMA members will surely step up and help.
Once roles are filled, point person(s) become the main coordinator(s) for the event
Determine your location
Promote your event to the relevant audience
