Decision Who initiates? Who needs to be consulted and how? Who can finalize the decision? Who needs to be informed and how?
Moving forward with an event proposal Anyone with an idea and access to the SWMA slack* A short proposal and emoji poll in the skillshare slack channel. We can discuss the idea in a meeting but any votes take place in slack with at least 2 days to vote. If by the close of the vote, there are no blocks or serious concerns, and at least 5** votes in support, the proposal will move forward. Send a message in the events channel on slack with basic information like date, time, and topic.
Rescheduling for a more timely event*** Anyone with an idea and the capacity to lead the new event The original skillshare point person should be contacted first (if not the person proposing the change); then a proposal and emoji poll in the skillshare slack channel (same as above) If by the close of the vote, there is support for the proposal (see above) and enough time to plan the new event, the proposal will move forward. A message announcing (a) the new event and (b) the new date/time for the original event should go out through all channels used for promoting the original event (slack, IG, flyers, planhero); if there was a sign up form, notify the registrants.

*This initiative is still very new and a work in progress, so it’s more realistic and sustainable to stick to slack while building up the structures. Once we have a more solid flow and regular support, we hope to create a form or some other outreach method to hear from the larger community.

**This number is subject to change as the skillshare channel grows.

***If there is something happening that makes a specific skillshare/community education program feel timely or urgent, we may consider rearranging our skillshare schedule to accomodate it — if that decision is supported by consensus.
