[asha] This is some copy that I was working on the for the Instagram:

Community Expectations (things that go without saying, but will be said anyway):

• the fridge stays put.
• the fridge stays clean. If you make a mess, clean it up!
• fridge organizers are accountable to the community.
• the fridge belongs to the community. No one has ownership over it, and all are responsible for it.
• we value dignity, food sovereignty, accessibility, food justice, community culture around food, and sustainability
• we don't make judgments around need and we don't embrace a scarcity mindset

What goes in the fridge:

• fresh produce
• prepared meals must be clearly labelled with allergens and date it was cooked (or they will be thrown out for food safety!)
• unexpired grocery items such as milks and bottled waters
• please no alcohols or medicines
• please place frozen items in the freezer up top

A community fridge is more than just a fridge. It also….

• attracts business to hosts and reduces crime
