Dear Neighborhood Grocers,

We are Sunnyside & Woodside Mutual Aid (SWMA): a neighborhood organization that seeks to help residents gain access to supplies and resources that are in short supply during the COVID-19 pandemic- such as food and medical supplies- in addition to other services like delivery of goods to members of high-risk groups.

We are reaching out to see if you would be willing to donate groceries- ideally, weekly or every two weeks, or in whatever frequency you are able to do so - to our mobile food pantry efforts. We currently have a “pop up” food pantry that occurs every Saturday from 1-3 PM under the 46th Street subway station, and another one near the Woodside Houses at about the same time. We hope to have more on other days of the week as well. If you are willing and able to donate, your provision of any of the following would greatly help our efforts:

Non-perishable goods: Rice and other grains Dry beans or cans of beans Canned vegetables Cans of tuna Pasta Pasta sauce Canned tomatoes Cereal and Oats Nuts Tortillas Peanut butter Non-dairy milk

Semi-perishable goods: Onions Garlic Root vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, beets, or radishes

Perishable goods: Any other fresh fruits and vegetables you are willing to donate

We are more than happy to take anything that is near expired. If you will consider this request, we would be so grateful and we know that our neighbors who are most affected by this pandemic would also be extremely appreciative of the help. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely, Sunnyside & Woodside Mutual Aid
